Elon Musk is stepping into the role of chief negotiator at Tesla, demanding an astonishing compensation package of nearly a trillion dollars in exchange for his continued presence at the company. Robin Denholm, chair of Tesla’s board, has already voiced her concerns, stating that without Musk, Tesla risks becoming just another car manufacturer and losing its legendary status built on lofty ambitions and a futuristic vision.
